Rich, warm and complex. Black fruits, vanilla and smokey spice.
Tasting Notes: This `SuperBarbera` is produced from low yielding old vines. Unusually for Piedmont Barbera it is aged 12 months in French oak barriques. A rich, warm style with complex aromatics. The nose has the dark fruit, liquorice that you would expect, followed by soft vanilla and cedar notes. On the palate the wine is full bodied, warm and packed with dark cherry & blackcurrant, leading to hints of the vanilla and smoky spice. A wine to be savoured with huge potential for ageing.

Some of Italy`s most revered and expensive red wines come from the Nebbiolo grape, grown alongside Barbera, Dolcetto, Moscato and Cortese.
