Intense and expressive from first aroma to long lasting finish.
Tasting Notes: Intense garnet red with almost blue tinges. Woodland aromas lead into ripe red fruits, cloves, vanilla pod, liquorice and hints of blueberries. The aromas follow through to an exceptional, expressive palate with body, balance, tannic texture is present but nuanced. A very long persistent finish holding all the elements of the aroma and palate. This can be aged for several years if you favour complexity over outright freshness. From the foothills of the Alps, Piedmont in north-west Italy is a beautiful and prestigious wine making region. In 1980, Barolo became one of the first Italian wines to receive DOCG status.
