Tasting Notes: The ennobling of the ancient vine of Treviso and Venice. Personality and power without rival. Deserving of the title “Super Venetian”.

Intense ruby red with burgundy nuances. Ripe, aromatic aromas - Oriental spice with nutmeg and pepper, followed by dry hay and leather. Cherry and with delicate mint and eucalyptus notes float through. The palate is full and rich, presenting well–balanced acidity, soft, full-bodied with dry final taste that lingers and persists.

This red wine is obtained from a selection of the native Raboso Piave grapes grown on Parcel #912 in Santome's vineyards in the Carboncine - Roncade area. Long maceration, ageing in chestnut and “Allier” oak for 48 months. Some bunches are withered in the grape-drying loft for 3 months and skilfully added to the blend. Final bottle ageing for 12 months. Due to the typicality of the soil and the specific winemaking techniques deployed, at Santomè they consider their Raboso ready to drink only after a long ageing period of 5 years (4 years in the barrel and 1 in the bottle). Only produced in the best years.

Long maceration (40 days), aged 48 months in oak and chestnut barrels. “Appassimento” process used in a percentage of the blend. Further one years in bottle before release.
