Tasting Notes: The Double Door White Blend 2017 is a Rhone style blend, with a typical La Bri ‘twist’ a couple of non-Rhone varieties blended in. It is a mix of 56% Roussanne, 19% Chardonnay, 15% Viognier and 10% Semillon, a grape which Franschhoek in the middle of the last century could claim as its own. This interesting blend is La Bri's personal trip through the French Regions where the winemaker worked for many years, from Rhone to Bordeaux.
The Double Door Range introduces wines that are made from a mix of estate grapes and grapes brought in from neighbouring farms. This gives the winemaker the chance to be creative and produce wines that have their own distinctive style.
