Grapes for the Art Series are sourced from a selection of premium vineyards within the renowned Limestone Coast growing region. The diversity in climate and geography makes it the perfect fruit source for the equally diverse Art Series range.
Vineyards are carefully selected based on the suitability for each wine’s individual personality. Hesketh look to warmer sub-regions for reds and cooler sub-regions for the whites. The wines are then crafted to a consistent style and quality, which is perfect for everyday drinking or more salubrious occasions.
Sourced from 13 year-old-vines in Southern Coonawarra, the grapes for the 2019 Lost Weekend Chardonnay were picked from the 8th to the 12th of March. Following harvest, the fruit was pressed off skins and the pressings were kept separate and fermented cool for 35 days. The wine was then racked off gross lees to keep the style clean and crisp before being matured in stainless steel for 5 months prior to bottling.
