Tasting Notes: Aromas of exotic fruits and white flower. Casalforte Soave is a refined, dry, elegant and intense wine. A full-bodied taste with pleasant acidity, it is savoury and mineral on the finish.

Casalforte are the perfect embodiment of a history rooted in the past but focused on the future. They are actually a young company, founded in 2008 as an offshoot of Collis Veneto Wine Group, a leading cooperative consortium at national level, with the aim of marketing and selling the wine produced with the grapes of our 2,000 members, both in Italy and worldwide throughout the hospitality industry and large-scale retail trade. A winning choice that has enabled them to distribute wines embodying high-quality Veneto production under six different brands.

The Soave production area is situated in the eastern hills of the province of Verona and includes the municipalities of Soave, Monteforte d’Alpone, San Martino B.A., Lavagno, Mezzane, Caldiero, Colognola ai Colli, Illasi, Cazzano di Tramigna, San Bonifacio, Roncà, Montecchia and S. Giovanni Ilarione.

Volcanic soils make up a large portion of the hillside production of Soave wines and are located in the central area to the east of Lessinia. This soil has unique characteristics that make it extremely fertile and ideal for agriculture. Over the centuries, these hills of volcanic, tufaceous soil, with large calcareous outcrops, have created an ideal harmony of environment and vine variety that has given rise to wines of outstanding quality.
Soave wines are mainly produced from the Garganega grape, which has been cultivated on the hills of the area for at least a millennium. Garganega is in fact the main grape variety of the designation and over the centuries has found an ideal habitat in the surrounding Alpone, Tramigna, Illasi and Mezzane valleys.

Food Match :  Extremely versatile wine from a gastronomic point of view: it is ideal as an aperitif with fish and shellfish starters, or in combination with first courses of fish and grilled white meat.
