Tasting Notes: Vibrant ruby red in colour. Aromas of fresh red berries with touches of earthy forest floor. The palate is soft and well balanced with rich forest fruits, well integrated tannins. The fruits lingering in a pleasing finish.
The Merlot grapes are harvested in early September, with Corvina & Rondinella harvested mid September, from the vineyards around Verona. There is cold pre-fermentation maceration for 2 days, which allows extraction of the varietal fruit aromas and produces a lively, vibrant colour. Next, several days of fermentation at controlled temperature, to ensure the wines pleasing palate. Recommended cellaring - 2 years.
