PAST EVENT : FREE TASTING: Vinho Verde 21st & 22nd June

 

We love Vinho Verde at D'Arcy and we'd like to share them with you.

5 wines will be on offer to try from a variety of winemakers.

 

Translating into "green wine" Vinho Verde's are young wines that started out as a bit of an accident. When first bottling the young wine, they got carried away and bottled them a little too young. The wines then continued to ferment in the bottle, trapping the C02 causing this little sparkle which really carried the flavour. As with most happy accidents they liked it and as a result, all of them now contain a very small amount of C02 giving Vinho Verde it's unique texture and mouthfeel.

 

We have a selection of wines by the glass and 100s of wines by the bottle available to drink in or take away. In addition, there is a selection of cocktails, beers, & spirits on the menu.

 

We also have mixed sharing platters available of cheese, charcuterie or hummus.
