Glou Glou loosely translates as Glug, Glug - so very drinkable.
Tasting Notes: Light purple in colour with an expressive nose of cherry, pommegranate & strawberry with a hint of spice which all follow through to the very drinkable palate. Light and refreshing with soft tannins and vibrant acidity. A wonderful wine that is unpretentious, has excellent balance, made with minimal intervention to achieve a complex and interesting wine.
Made from 100% Gamay fermented whole-cluster in cement.
Although it is not organic certified, Jean-Baptiste Duperray works his vines in Beaujolais without herbicides, pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The vines are ploughed to remove the weeds. In the cellar, Jean-Baptiste makes his wines without any additives — no sulphur dioxide, yeasts enzymes or other oenological products. The wines are lightly filtered and bottled with minimal SO2 to ensure the best expression of terroir.
