Tasting Notes: Light red with violet tints in colour. Aromas of sweet cherries, spice with vanilla and tobacco. The palate is light and fresh with an abundance of sweet dark red fruits - cherries and plums, spice with gentle vanilla. Smooth well integrated tannins leading to a long pleasing finish.
The grapes come from selected small parcels in the southern Waihopai Valley ridge, harvested at different times and vinified separately. In the winery, cool fermentation is used to retain the freshness of the wine and lees ageing adds texture and flavour. The coastal influences along the east coast of the Marlborough are very relevant to the wines produced in the region. The design features a nautical map of the ‘Marlborough Sounds’. Vegan friendly
