Harmonius and elegant. An exceptional Margaux at a excellent price.
Tasting Notes: La Reserve d`Angludet is made from the same vineyards and with the same dedication as Chateau Angludet itself. The strict selection in vineyard and from cask ensures the finished wine shares the same finesse, complexity and elegance of a fine Margaux. Earthy aromas. Supple dark fruits of cassis and blackberry, liquorice and spice notes with subtle vanilla oak, are held by assertive but ripe mouthfilling tannins that ensure Reserve d`Angludet can be enjoyed when young but will also allow further maturation. The finish is long lasting and intensely aromatic. A remarkably complex wine which is drinking very well now. Drink till 2026
Château Angludet is owned by the Sichel family, wine merchants in Bordeaux for 6 generations. They also own a share of the more famous Château Palmer. Angludet has been the Sichel family home since 1961. It is one of the oldest properties in the Médoc dating back to the 12th century. The 32 hectares of vineyards are all within the Margaux appellation, and the wines are classified as Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel.
