The Pinot Gris Grape & Sileni Pinot Gris

NEW IN! Sileni Pinot Gris 2014 - The Cellar Selection Pinot Gris has classic aromatic peach flavours along with beautifully balanced acidity and a long finish. It is just off-dry, with mineral notes and good weight. The Sileni winery & vineyard are found on New Zealand's North Island, on the east coast, near Hastings, Hawke's Bay. 

Pinot Gris or Pinot Grigio as it's known in many countries - Yes, it's the same grape.  Pinot Grigio's true French name is Pinot Gris!  In most cases the reasoning behind labeling the wine Pinot Grigio or Pinot Gris is that Pinot Gris is more likely to have been exposed to oak - but this is not a definitive reason!!
