Despite the recent rain, the UK is still warm...and when the sun comes out, it warms up very quickly. So let's get to thinking about what we like to drink in the summer.
Fizz - well you have to have Fizz for summer.
We had a great weekend at Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival with our Champagne Pavillion which we'd like to share a little of the fizz with those who couldn't join us. Ayala Brut Majeur NV is a classic champagne, which was the favourite of the late Queen Mother. The Champagne House was awarded a Royal Warrant in 1908 and was one of the leading champagnes during the Golden Age of champagne drinking. The drier style particularly suits the British market. One of the few champagnes in recent years to have made it in to Decanters Top 100 wines.

Tasting Notes : Pale gold in colour with a fine mousse. This wine is aromatic on the nose. The palate is well balanced and shows great finesses and complexity. The Pinot Noir grape gives the wine richness and a long finish while the Chardonnay adds delicacy, liveliness and freshness, the Pinot Meunier gives the wine appealing fruitiness and roundness.
“This is a rising champagne star, with a toasty aroma, herby flavours and a citrus kick.” from Jamie Goode
